Our Partners
“Partnership is the new leadership”
– Ty Bennett

The Methodist Church
The Rotherham and Dearne Valley Circuit has supplied finances, volunteers, staff and pastoral support for the Lighthouse through several of its congregations in Rotherham. The Lighthouse is a skilled resource which allows many local church congregations of several denominations to fulfil their Mission statement of Serving those in need in Rotherham.
Green Pastures
Green Pastures are a Christian social enterprise which aims to change lives and end homelessness in the UK. We are in partnership with them at our Brimington and Shirebrook Lighthouse projects. We look forward to a continuation of this foundation partnership with Green Pastures for the future.

Quaker Housing Trust
Quaker housing trust is a channel through which social housing projects can get advice, support, loans or grants that would be difficult to find elsewhere. And the channel through which Friends can express practical social witness through the housing. But most of all we exist to support the creation of homes for people of any age when they are vulnerable at points of transition in their lives. Without a home, it is difficult to realise that of God within oneself.

Rotherham Churches Together
The aim of Rotherham Churches Together is to bring together people in the town with a Christian interest in order to help build a more caring community for everyone in the town. The help and support they have given Lighthouse Homes has been invaluable in our beginnings and our present and future. We are looking to develop our Churches together partnerships in both Shirebrook and Chesterfield areas.

Local authorities
Our partnerships with Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council, Chesterfield Borough Council, and Bolsover District Council are built on firm foundations and are growing as we join with others to tackle the increasing problems of homelessness in those areas.

Homeless Link
Lighthouse Homes value their membership of Homeless Link and its connection to homelessness services across the UK. Homeless Link works with the homelessness sector to make services better and works with Government to improve the policies that affect people experiencing homelessness.

Crisis
Crisis offer Lighthouse residents invaluable support both in addressing their personal issues and in moving on to greater independence. Crisis is the UK national charity for homeless people. The charity offers year-round education, employment, housing and well-being services from local centres.

Voluntary Action Rotherham
We value the umbrella support of Voluntary Action Rotherham, the Rotherham voluntary and community sector infrastructure support. They link us into the wider voluntary sector, helping us with recruitment, payroll, funding, training and volunteering.

South Yorkshire Community Foundation
We are very grateful to South Yorkshire Community Foundation who recently gave Lighthouse a grant for computer equipment at both our Rotherham Projects. The computers we have now been able to purchase are very much appreciated by all our staff and residents and will certainly improve their every day lives.

Community Fund

The Bernard Sunley Foundation
We are very pleased to be in partnership with The Bernard Sunley Foundation who have generously provided funding towards accommodation and building improvements at our Shirebrook project.
